Karen has been painting off and on for many years. She has a degree in Art from Temple University, and has been painting in watercolor for about twelve years. She has studied with various local instructors, including Howard Watson, Kass Morin Freeman, Jo Ann Cooksey Bono and Lauren Daddona. She has also taken workshops with nationally known artists including Barbara Nechis, Mel Stabin, and James Toogood.
Her paintings have been accepted to many juried exhibits, including the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Greater Norristown Art League, Doylestown Art League, and Oreland Art Center, and her work has won numerous awards.
Karen loves to paint portraits, still lifes and scenes from her travels with her husband, Mitch. “My goal is to convey to the viewer the emotions I felt when I saw the scene, and to push reality to reveal something special and unique.”
Karen lives in the Ambler, PA area and loves her three children and 8 grandchildren.
